Brit School Hijinks
A downloadable game
You're pupils at a British secondary school, trying to keep life at least a bit interesting and make your own entertainment. Build a den in the rafters of the gym. Raise terrapins in the third-floor bathroom. Brew moonshine with the long-banned solvents in the arts room. Arrange charity concerts. Steal test answers from the Head's safe while disguised as a Swedish piano-tuner. Stage a rebellion against school dinners. Find buried treasure under the rugby pitch. Arrest your physics teacher as a spy. Hide sickly aliens in the lockers. Plot bank robberies. Concoct elaborate schemes to bump into your crush. Bend, not break, the rules. Try different ways to make a difference to the days.
A simple tabletop roleplaying game (RPG).

In Brit School Hijinks, you are teenagers causing trouble in a British secondary school in the 90s. It has a very interesting social pyramid mechanic.
Okay, so I loved the content, the writing and actually the presentation. Sure, it wasn't sexy, but your intro page with explanation of the different text box types; very cool.
Also, it felt like you knew my school! One of the tables had "The Copse" a mysterious wooded place. We had one of those too, a word I've literally only ever heard relating to that wooded area in our school. Weird.
Good work!
Aw, thank you CM! I was modelling it on my 90s textbooks to try and get the right atmosphere, though it still needs a bit of tweaking. I'm glad it's worked well for you. Was your The Copse also strictly off-limits except for that one science class where you go in to count things?
YES! It was also the place to go and smoke, obviously
Fantastically silly little game, and one whose subject matter is no doubt incredibly nostalgic for other Brits like me :)
Thank you! It's still not quite polished up yet (I wanted to release it in time for the charity bundles), so it's really nice to get such positive feedback.
